Thousands of visitors would be coming to their city and millions of fans around the world would tune in to their TV's to watch the Dallas Cowboys take on the Miami Dolphins in Super Bowl VI.

Ray Scott and Pat Summerall would call the game and the ratings for the game on this network were 44.2.
Team Pre-Season Stats: Second year Miami head coach Don Shula hoped to continue his team's success from last season after making the post season for the first time in team history. However, this year they were looking to go further than an AFC Divisional Playoff game and quarterback Bob Griese needed to have a great season in order for Miami to have more success. The The Dallas Cowboys were coming into the season looking to avenge a loss at the hands of the Baltimore Colts in Super Bowl 5. Tom Landry would be back in his 12th season as their head coach and he would count on quarterbacks Roger Staubach and Craig Morton to lead the team to a championship.
Team Roster:Key players on the Dolphins roster included QB Bob Griese, DB Dick Anderson, OL Jim Langer, OL Larry Little, OL Wayne Moore, DB Jake Scott, RB Larry Csonka, and WR Howard Twilley. The notable players for the Cowboys included QB Roger Staubach, DB Cornell Green, LB Chuck Howley, DL Bob Lilly, OL John Niland, DB Mel Renfro, and RB Duane Thomas.
Game Highlights:The Cowboys played a great game on both sides of the ball as both the defence and offence played outstanding. The offence rushed for a Superbowl record 252 yards while their defense only allowed 185 total yards to Miami and they didn't allow the Dolphins to score a touchdown. This was the first time in Super bowl history that a team failed to score a touchdown. Miami RB Larry Csonka fumbled for the first time this season allowing Dallas to take advantage and an early 3-0 lead. They increased this lead by 10 as Staubach threw for a touchdown and led at halftime 10-3. Dallas continued their dominance in the 2nd half as Duane Thomas led a 71-yard drive down the field ending in another score and a 17-3 lead. Roger Staubach threw for another touchdown in the 4th quarter as he passed 7 yards to Mike Ditka for the final touchdown of the game. Dallas won with a final score of 24-3 and their first Superbowl championship.
Game MVP: The Most Valuable Player of the 6th Super Bowl was Dallas Cowboys quarterback Roger Staubach. He completed 12 of 19 passes for 119 yards and two touchdowns leading the Cowboys to their first Superbowl victory.
Half Time Show:The halftime show was presented by Jimmy Skinner and entitled "A Salute to Louis Armstrong" and it featured performances by Ella Fitzgerald, Carol Channing, Al Hirt and U.S. Marine Corps Drill Team.
Commercials:The average cost for a 30 second commercial during the 6th Superbowl was $86000. Advertising costs continued to increase each year as companies saw the opportunity to promote their product to millions of viewers who tuned in to watch the game.
