Team Pre-Season Stats: The favored Indianapolis Colts, with Peyton Manning who is widely regarded as one of the best quarterbacks ever, leading the team arrived pregame practice at the Miami Dolphins Training Facility. The Chicago Bears advanced to Super Bowl 41, only their 2nd after finishing the season with an NFC 13-3 record. Their pregame practice is to be held at Miami Hurricanes Football Facility.

Game Highlights: Bears, Devin Hester touchdown on an 92 yard kickoff by Robbie Gould was the 1st one in Super-Bowl-History.

 

Game MVP: Peyton Manning, quarterback for the Indianapolis Colts was named the MVP. He completed 25 of 38 passes for 247 yards and a touchdown, with one interception.

 

Half Time Show: Prince, Academy Award and Grammy award winning pop musician performed at half time. The songs played him and his band were mostly tracks from Purple Rain, "Let's Go Crazy", "Baby I'm a Star" and "Purple Rain". And it turned out to be a raining day in Miami, the first time the super bowl has ever played in rain. Prince had the largest audience in his career, approximatley 140 million tv viewers tuned in.

 

Commercials: Everyone waits to see the superbowl commercials. The highlights this year were: of course, Anheuser-Busch, General Motors, Emerald Nuts, Go Daddy, CareerBuilder, Frito-Lay and Coca-Cola. The top ad of Super Bowl XLI, chosen by USA Today, was a Budweiser commercial with crabs worshiping an ice chest full of beer. It seems the only controversy this year was from the gay community over a Snickers commercial. The commercial had two men accidentally kiss after sharing a candy bar, then proceeding to rip chest hair out as a manly jester.
