Fans would tune into San Diego to see the Denver Broncos and John Elway play the defending champion Green Bay Packers and quarterback Brett Favre in Super Bowl XXXII.

Team Pre-Season Stats: The Green Bay Packers came into the 1997-98 season with the same team that lead them to their championship the previous year. With Brett Favre back as QB and a one-two punch of Dorsey Levens and Edgar Bennet in the backfield the Packers offence looked stronger than ever and ready to repeat. The Denver Broncos and John Elway agreed to restructure his contract so that they could sign former Chiefs DE Neil Smith and bring immediate help to the defence. Terrell Davis would also be back and hope to capture a rushing title as he missed it in the previous year by 10 yards.
Team Roster / Salaries: The Packers roster for the thrity-second Super Bowl was similar to the previous season with QB Brett Favre ($4.1 million), Dorsey Levens ($0.7 million), Edgar Bennet ($1.4 million) and Leroy Butler ($2.59 million). The Broncos roster included QB Elway ($2.1 million), Steve Atwater ($2.2 million), Ray Crockett ($2.15 million), and Bill Romanowski ($1.6 million).

Denver responded though with a drive finished by Terrell Davis and a 1 yard TD run. John Elway later scored on 3rd down after Tyrone Braxton intercepted a pass from Brett Favre. Denver added another field goal and another TD by Green Bay to enter halftime with a 17-14 Denver lead. Ryan Longwell opened the scoring for Green Bay in the 2nd half with a 27 yard field goal to tie the game at 17. Terrell Davis later added his 2nd touchdown of the game with another 1 yard run into the end zone. Antonio Freeman also scored his second TD of the game for Green Bay to tie to game at 24.
