Eyes Are on Arizona For Super Bowl 2008!

Super Bowl 2008 will be played in the city of Glendale, Arizona at the University of Phoenix Stadium, the home of the Arizona Cardinals. The big game is at 6:30 p.m. Eastern Standard Time on February 3, 2008. Arizona has hosted one other Super Bowl Game, Super Bowl XXX was played at A.S.U.'s Sun Devil Stadium in Tempe, Arizona. The new retractable real grass field was completed in 2006.

 

The teams? New England Patriots and the New York Giants!

The New England Patriots have been on a roll for a few years. They have 3 Super Bowls since 2001 and are now competing again. This finishing the NFL season with a 16-0 record. Tom Brady, the Patriots quarterback won the NFL MVP award in 2007.

The wide receiver, Randy Moss, traded from the Oakland Raiders in 2007, holds the record for single season touchdown reception. He caught 2 touchdown passes playing against the New York Giants in December 2007, bringing his total touchdown receptions to 23.

 

The New York Giants, on the other hand werent' really expecting the Super Bowl this year. They have competed in three Super Bowls, winning two. Eli Manning, quarterback for the Giants came through for them this year, winning three playoffs without throwing a single interception. Amani Toomer, all-time leading receiver also played in the 2001 Super Bowl.

 

The New England Patriots are favored to win.

No matter which teams make it to the 2008 Super Bowl, Arizona is preparing for the biggest game of the year. The tickets are sure to be going fast even at the prices of $2200 plus.
