Did You Watch the 2005 Superbowl Commercials?

The 2005 Superbowl commercials were some of the best commercials ever used in a Superbowl game.

Remember the ad for the Turkey sub with the lady in the lawn chair talking to the baby.

Along with making your mouth water for a taste of a sub sandwich, this commercial uses expressions on the baby's face to make the commercial very entertaining.

. In addition to advertising specific products in Superbowl comericals, some of the actors' words and expressions are also very memorable.

Types of commercials used for the 2005 Superbowl.

Some of the commercials seen during the 2005 superbowl include:

  • The beer commercial where the man in the bar imagines himself on a desert island with two women
  • The commercial where the two guys are at the game and one of them sees his girlfriend with his best friend
  • Burt Reynolds fighting a bear
  • The guy jumping out of the airplane for his beer

Controversial Commercials

Every Superbowl seems to have some controversy associated with it and the 2005 game was no different. This time is was Godaddy that caused the controversy with a commercial where a model bared her breast. Looking back to the 2004 Superbowl, this was probably a deliberate commercial to make reference to the Janet Jackson episode.

The cost of airing a commercial during the Superbowl is astronomical, costing millions of dollars per second. Therefore the creators of the commercials have to come up with situations advertising the products that will make them sell. The commercials hope that people will remember what they saw on TV and the name of the product so that the next time they need it they will go out and purchase that specific brand.

The main advertising, though, seems to be for fast food and beer, probably because many people tend to party as they watch the Superbowl. It may cause them to order out or run out for a six-pack.
